STEM Hub News
2023 Gorge STEM FAIR Thank YOU!
We would like to thank each booth host, volunteer, and sponsor for helping to make this year's STEM Fair a wonderful event for families! Close to 30 booths attended and the new location at Horizon Christian School’s sports field provided more space for booth hosts and families. Families learned about building a transmission tower, infrared thermal photography, fingerprinting, watched a live drone demonstration, competed to build the tallest pipe cleaner structure, explored how streams naturally flow, and a lot more!
Save the (tentative) date, Saturday, June 1st, 2024 for next year’s STEM Fair!

This is a new series in which we highlight achievements of local educators. This month, we are honoring Alan Cunningham from Arlington School District. Alan is a manufacturing, IT, and CTE Instructor for Arlington High School. In April, Alan partnered with Paradise Rose Catering in Arlington to provide a Catering Bootcamp for 11 high school students. He shares that during the 4-day, 4-hour-per-day camp, there was "so much engaged learning! Everyone learned things and did good work." This is an excellent example of Career Connected Learning! Thank you, Alan!
