🌟Educator Spotlight - Robert Wells-Clark 🌟 

CGCC's Robert Wells-Clark was named the 2026 Oregon Career and Technical Education Professional of the Year by the Oregon Association for Career and Technical Education. Wells-Clark was recognized for exceptional leadership, innovation, and community partnerships that expand high-demand technical training—ranging from advanced manufacturing and construction trades to CNC programming, CAD design, and 3D printing—strengthening workforce pathways across the Columbia Gorge and Oregon. Congratulations, Robert!

🍑K-6: Oregon Agriculture Calendar Contest - Submit by May 1, 2026

Oregon students, grades K-6, are invited to submit original artwork about Oregon agriculture for the contest.

🎨Students: Submit your original artwork to the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality to showcase youth perspectives on climate change, with selected pieces featured in policy discussions, Climate Action Plans, and DEQ communications.

📣Gorge Youth Speaks: Voices of the Gorge’s Youth
Gorge Youth Speaks is a speaker series where students share their ideas and visions for the future on topics like community, democracy, the environment, and belonging—no formal speaking experience required.

Events (7:00 PM):

  • March 18 – The History Museum (speakers selected)

  • April 22 (Earth Day) – The History Museum

  • May 13 – The Ruins, Hood River (open mic–style)
