Educator Recognition

🌟Leah Ferguson, CTE Digital Arts/Video Production Teacher (TDHS) Honored

Leah Ferguson has been named the 2026 National New Teacher of the Year finalist for Region V by the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE). She will compete for the national title in December. Ferguson is a graphic arts Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher at The Dalles High School.

AI After the Bell is a come-as-you-are virtual learning series for K–12 educators across the Gorge. Held on Tuesdays from 4:00–5:00 PM, this hands-on series explores practical, classroom-ready ways to understand and use AI with confidence.

📚Press Release: Free Little Libraries - Host Sites Needed

We are launching a Little Free Libraries project to expand literacy access and provide hands-on, career-connected learning for students. We are seeking locations in areas with limited literacy resources and partners (organizations, schools or individuals) to help steward libraries.
