⭐The Learning to Lead Program Continues for it's 3rd Year

The Learning to Lead program through a partnership with Oregon State University and Wasco County 4-H is entering its third year, focusing on empowering teens in STEM fields through leadership training and hands-on experiences. The programming aims to equip young leaders with essential skills and foster a passion for science, technology, engineering, and math.

📖CTE Resources from ODE - New Versions Now Online 

ODE has recently released updated versions of two key references:

  • 2024-2027 Oregon CTE State Plan: The Oregon CTE State Plan is a high-level, four-year strategic plan outlining outcomes and strategies to guide Oregon's ongoing work to build world-class CTE.
  • 2024-2025 CTE Policy Guidebook: This guidebook creates a one-stop shop of information on how to manage and implement CTE Programs of Study, representing a collaborative effort to advance Oregon's vision for CTE.

Keep your stuff out of the trash and support the right to repair! Come on down to the MakerSpace on Oct. 5 for our bi-annual Fix-It Fest — a day of sustainable activities, tinkering, and repairing. Have a vacuum sitting in your closet that needs some TLC? Need to rewire a vintage lamp? Let us help you! Save money, reduce your impact on the planet, and learn tips and tricks for breathing new life into your beloved (but broken) items.

📆Friday, October 25th, 4-7 PM

Gorge Discovery Center in collaboration with STEM Hub is throwing a FREE Grossology STEM Night for the community on October 25th from 4-7pm. Come and celebrate spooky season with weird and icky hands-on activities for kids!

Each year, the U.S. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation grants $1,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at an accredited postsecondary college or university; scholarships of $1,000 will be available to graduating high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited vocational or industrial school. (Additional eligibility requirements apply.) Deadline to apply is January 17, 2025.
