🌻 Happy September!
Hello, {{Constituent First Name}}, Please see this month's updates from the Columbia Gorge STEM Hub. We hope you are having a productive back to school season and are excited for the next school year!
STEM Hub News and Updates
Welcome, Carolyn and Jennifer, our two new Coordinators!
Carolyn, a Columbia Gorge native, is excited to contribute to her community as a STEM Hub Coordinator. With experience teaching preschool through fifth grade in the Willamette Valley and Columbia River Gorge, she values her role in supporting educators and promoting meaningful hands-on STEM learning experiences for students. Carolyn earned her B.S. in Early Childhood & Elementary Education from Western Oregon University.
A native Oregonian, Jennifer began her career working in Silicon Forest (the Portland/Beaverton area) before moving to the Gorge and taking time off to start a family. During the COVID epidemic, with her children at home, she became deeply involved in their education, which led to her contributing to the development of local educational options and sharing her passion for technology as a computer science instructor for middle-grade students. Now, as a STEM Hub Coordinator, Jennifer is excited to aid local educators in bringing innovative tools and resources into their classrooms and introducing emerging technologies to students across the five-county region. Jennifer holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Oregon State University.
